In my role, I work on complex, open-ended problems that cut across product, design, and business. This often means helping teams from different business areas navigate ambiguity and align around a clear product direction.

Recently I’ve developed the UX strategy for Spotify’s free tier (2022–23) and Spotify’s social features, including the launch of Messages (2023–present).

Alongside project work, I coach junior designers and contribute to the development of our design practice as part of Spotify’s Staff Designer group.

Becoming Audio First

In 2017 I transitioned to Spotify’s mobile consumer experience team to kickstart and lead design efforts on podcasts. The work ranged from foundational (“we need a speed setting!”) to strategic (prototyping future media formats). It broke new ground and propelled Spotify towards the goal of becoming truly audio-first.
